October 24: Libraries Day

October 24th is celebrated as Libraries Day. In the educational centers of Aragon, the Library becomes a meeting point for the exchange of learning and experiences. Teachers, students, administration and services staff and families gather there. Books and their reading is the central activity, but this activity coexists with others in the field of culture, solidarity and social responsibility.

There are many experiences that are being developed in the Secondary Education and Vocational Training Institutes in Aragon. To name just a few:

• Reading Clubs, such as those developed at IES Benjamín Jarnés in Fuentes de Ebro or at IES Andalán, in Zaragoza.
• Activities such as Bookcrossing organized at the IES Pilar Lorengar in Zaragoza.
• Programs to encourage reading "Journey with Letters" in which schools in the three provinces participate.
• Contests of booktubers with the objective of recommending books.

Interesting and enriching activities to contribute to the integral formation of the person.
