What is a simulated company?

The activity of simulatEd companies Began in Aragon in the course 2004 – 2005 as an educational innovation project. The purpose of this project was to get the students to perform the functions of an administrative technician and solve the same problems that would be faced later in a job within a Real company. It is a learning methodology carried out in the professional module of "Company in the classroom", belonging to the professional family of administration and management. In this module the class is organized in a typical structure of departments of a company, in which the students work in a coordinated and simultaneous way.

Each Participating Center In this program has created a company that is dedicated to an activity and must sell its products and/or services to the rest of the simulated companies. In the world there are more than 6,000 simulated companies and in Spain more than 200 (in Aragon are already 25). There Is a Simulation Central in Barcelona that makes bank, Hacienda, Social Security, INAEM, Customs,... And in this way there is no difference between the work that is done in the classroom with what is done in a real company.  (remittances, transfers, declarations, management of defaults, telephone communication, e-mail, social networks,...)

This methodology allows us to work also other aspects that are not normally worked in the classroom, such as: teamwork, responsibility, initiative, Communication and personal relationships, Order and organization,...

Every two years, the International Fair of simulated Companies is held in Barcelona, which is attended by companies from all over the world. In Aragon, the corresponding Aragonese Trade Fair of Simulated Companies is carried out every year, and always in a different locality, to which all the simulated companies of the community are invited.
