What is the InclusiVET project?

Co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union (EACEA), the InclusiVET project seeks to promote, through vocational training, the inclusion of all people with disabilities. The aim is to create a network of educational entities linked, in some way, to Vocational Training and provide them with resources and teaching tools that help them to know how to adequately serve this group and promote a real inclusion.

It is a collaborative work between organizations in Latin America and Europe and seeks to support vocational training teachers regardless of their professional family. In addition, the project has a second line of work focused on the group of artists with disabilities for whom a strategy focused on entrepreneurship and employability will be designed.

What is your goal?

The aim of this project is to contribute to ensure that people with disabilities accessing the training system have the same training opportunities and possibilities for entrepreneurship and employability. To this end, it is important to support and provide resources and tools to professionals in the educational field and to organizations working in the field of disability.

Objectives
    1. To support vocational training centers through didactic methodologies and resources that help them to adequately and inclusively serve people with disabilities.
    2. To develop, with an international character, a training itinerary for teachers that can be developed and implemented in the VET entities of different countries.
    3. Foster collaboration between VET entities, disability experts, and public and private sector organizations.
    4. Introduce the concept of micro-credentials in Latin American VET institutions and develop their capacity to implement them.
    5. To support the entrepreneurship and employability of artists with disabilities and for this purpose it is intended to create a training itinerary related to the promotion of artistic and cultural works in the field of disability.
How will it be done?

The project plan consists of 6 work packages:

WP1 is the work package focused on project management and dissemination.

WP2 is the package that brings together all actions related to the development of skills and competences of VET teachers and institutions in order to enhance the inclusion of students with disabilities. The aim is to connect disability organizations with VET institutions and to create an inclusive methodology.

WP3 is the package that will work on the development of a course focused on the organization, management and promotion of cultural and artistic events involving people with disabilities.

WP4 is the package in which training will be completed and pilot courses will be conducted.

WP5 is the review, extension and transferability phase. The results of the project will be transferred outside the scope of the partner countries, with special attention to VET centers in Latin American countries.

WP6 is the outreach and sustainability work package.
