FP360 Project

Immersive didactics

Presentation of the project

The FP360 Immersive Didactics project is promoted by the Innovation Center for Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA) to contribute to the creation of didactic resources that nourish the immersive technologies available in the Vocational Training centers of Aragon.

FP360 Immersive Didactics starts in the academic year 2022-23 with the participation of the IES Luis Buñuel of Zaragoza, specifically the professional family of Sociocultural and Community Services, and the CEE Jean Piaget of Zaragoza. They have also participated in training, teachers and students of the Specialization Course: Development of video games and virtual reality of CPIFP Los Enlaces who attended the masterclass, given by the company Ábaco Digital, which is also involved in this project.

In this first edition of FP360, the students of the cycle of Care for People in a Situation of Dependency together with their teachers with the support of the teachers of the Special Education Center Jean Piaget have developed the scripts of two 360 videos. These videos focus on two teaching-learning processes around the attention and care of people with special needs. The students of Jean Piaget and IES Buñuel are the protagonists of these videos that show how the students of this cycle should act appropriately and professionally in a real working environment such as the infant classroom and the dining room of the CEE Jean Piaget. In other words, these videos will immerse the students in a real environment thanks to VR glasses.

This project intends to count for future editions with other professional families that propose and work on specific teaching processes adapted to immersive technologies in order to continue developing immersive materials for the Aragonese VET.

First results

Throughout the 2022-23 academic year, the FP360 project included training activities, analysis of specific teaching processes to determine the most appropriate one to be transferred to an immersive environment, the scripting phase, the recording and editing of the two videos.
