Logis-Camp. The logistics sector approaches the Aragonese students

Teachers and students of 3rd, 4th of ESO, Bachillerato and University, within the LOGIS-CAMP event, have known the training offer of transport and logistics implemented in Aragon. For their part, the companies related to the sector have shown their resources and activities and emphasized the professional profiles that are necessary for their work teams.

This event is organized by the Innovation Center for Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA) together with the Logistics Cluster of Aragon (ALIA) and the Ibercaja Foundation.

At the CIFPA stand, students were able to learn about some activities in the field of logistics in a playful way. The Virtual Reality glasses and the forklift simulator took them to the working environment of a logistics center. Also, through the Lean kits, they have become familiar with this methodology implemented in logistics factories as a method to optimize resources and work times.

At the stand, the attendees were informed about the training offer related to the sector and, in general, about Vocational Training.

Within the programmed activity, talks and dynamics related to this economic sector of strong implantation in Aragon have been included. CIFPA's Career Counselor, Carmen Sánchez, has led the workshop "Key skills for the future in logistics", a very dynamic and practical activity where young people have learned what skills and competences are most valued in the sector.

The logistics and transport sector in the Aragonese economy has about 1,000 companies, more than 35,000 workers and currently represents 7.7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Community.
The Innovation Center for Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA) has, among its lines of action, the professional orientation of ESO and Bachillerato students towards Vocational Training in the autonomous region. It is also the National Reference Center for Logistics and Transport. For these reasons, CIFPA, which depends on the General Directorate of Planning, Centers and Vocational Training of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, has participated in this event attended by students from Aragonese schools.
