Women with disabilities, a journey in vignettes through everyday situations.

Women with disabilities, a journey in vignettes through everyday situations.

Those of you who visit us, don't forget to stop by our Espacio Desconecta where, besides having a coffee, you can enjoy a new exhibition. It is about: Women with disabilities, a journey in vignettes through everyday situations of women with disabilities.

It is an exhibition made up of 18 illustrated panels that invite us to reflect and smile about real situations experienced by women with disabilities in their daily lives. It is another way of vindicating that they still cannot enjoy such basic rights as full sexuality, inclusion in society or autonomy and independence. Still, in today's society, they face architectural and mental barriers that hinder the normalization of disability.

The exhibition is organized by the City Council of Zaragoza, specifically the Service of Equality and Women, and is a collaboration with the Aragonese Association of Women with Disabilities (Amanixer).

This work has been illustrated by Sara Jotabé, comic author, cartoonist and illustrator.
