Comics, a tool to raise awareness of gender-based violence

DON'T CALL IT LOVE

In our Espacio Desconecta we are hosting an exhibition of the winning entries in the "Comic against gender violence" competition organised since 2015 by the Cubit Library and the Zaragoza City Council's Equality Service.

These are works that seek to reflect on attitudes, stereotypes and prejudices that are too deeply rooted in society and that need to be broken. Combating gender violence is everyone's obligation and we can all, from different areas, contribute to developing actions that raise awareness of the problem and eradicate sexist attitudes and behaviour.

These artists manage to turn their work into a tool for raising social awareness in the fight against this serious problem. Artistic creation offers different perspectives on the scourge of gender violence.
