Athens, venue of the 1st transnational InclusiVET project

The city of Athens is hosting the first transnational of the InclusiVET project in which CIFPA participates as a partner. The other participants in this Erasmus Plus project are:

  • Action Synergy SA. Athens, Greece (Coordinator).
  • Centar Slava Raskaj. Zagreb, Croatia.
  • Unikalus Sokis. Vilnius, Lithuania.
  • Universidad Mayor. Providencia, Chile.
  • Hogar de Cristo Charitable Foundation. Santiago, Chile.
  • International Institute for Afrodescendant Research (INAFRO). Lima, Peru.
  • CAPAZ PERU Association. Lima, Peru.

In this first meeting, we will begin to collaborate in the design of a didactic methodology to provide Vocational Training teachers with tools and resources to work in the classroom with students with disabilities.
On the other hand, in this first transnational, participants will learn about experiences related to the world of culture and entertainment that promote inclusion. These are initiatives related to theater, dance and plastic arts. The project plans to work on a specific part dedicated to promoting the employability and entrepreneurship of people with disabilities who are interested in developing professionally in the world of art and entertainment.

This project, which will run for three years, is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union (EACEA) and seeks to promote, through vocational training, the inclusion of all people with disabilities. The aim is to create a network of educational entities linked, in some way, to Vocational Training and to provide them with resources and teaching tools that will help them to know how to adequately attend to this group and promote real inclusion.

It is a collaborative work between organizations in Latin America and Europe and seeks to support vocational training teachers regardless of their professional family. In addition, the project has a second line of work focused on the group of artists with disabilities for whom a strategy focused on entrepreneurship and employability will be designed.
