Students or recent graduates in Vocational Training selected in their respective communities participated in the national competition that took place in Madrid. In Aragon, the regional final was held last year at the Palacio de Congresos de Huesca. Thirty-one students or recent graduates of Vocational Training have traveled to Madrid representing 16 schools.
The Skills championship is popularly known as the "Vocational Training Olympics" and its objective is to promote these teachings by stimulating and motivating students and teachers. This initiative also aims to recognize the work of teachers, to create a meeting point between companies, teachers and students and to promote relations between the different educational centers in the country.
After the national competition, preparations begin for the European competition, WorldSkills Europe, and the world competition, WorldSkills, which will take place in Herning (Denmark) and Lyon (France), respectively.
