Meeting of CDD advisors of the Aragonese Teacher Training Centers.

The Innovation Center for Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA) has been the framework for the first face-to-face meeting of the technical advisors in Digital Teaching Competence (CDD) of the Teacher Training Centers of Aragon. The central theme of this meeting was the launching, this Friday, October 28, on the PADOCC platform of the ARCO Digital tool (Aragón Digital Competence). With this tool, teachers will know the level of digital competence they are reaching based, at first, on the training they have received.

As Aragonese teachers have been training in this area for several years, the Department of Education has mapped all the training carried out by Aragonese teachers from the 2016-2017 academic year to the 2021-2022 academic year. ARCO Digital will be the platform with which the official CDD level certification record will be carried out, allowing to know at all times the general level in digital competence of the Aragonese teaching staff.

The 15 advisors gathered at the CIFPA established the work schedule for the coming months within the framework of the Aragonese Ramón y Cajal Strategy, as the Aragonese Plan for Digitalization and Digital Teaching Skills is known. The Plan connects with one of the most important objectives set by the Department of Education in this legislature: to reduce the digital divide, improve student connectivity, facilitate an online learning environment for all educational centers and implement digital resources for teachers to make teaching possible in a changing and diverse context.

The Ramón y Cajal Strategy contemplates a set of integrated measures that, following the European recommendations related to guaranteeing the digital inclusion of citizens, aim to strengthen and promote the digital educational competence of students and teachers in Aragón, the digitalization of educational centers, the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) in digital format, the development of advanced digital methodologies and competences and the transfer of knowledge and digital competence to students to facilitate their incorporation to an active digital and citizen competence.
